The ElseWhere Chronicles has everything you’d want in an action-adventure series! This is the perfect graphic novel series for kids, grownups who grew up on The Goonies and The Chronicles of Narnia, and people who like a sharp edge to their children’s fantasy.”

The ElseWhere Chronicles was first published by Dupuis in French under the title Les Enfants d’ailleurs, and was the winner of Best Comic Book for Young Readers at the Lyon Comics Festival and both a 2008 and 2009 Nominee for the Essential Youth Prize of the Angoulême International Comics Festival.

A librarian blogger in Brooklyn, NY posted a list of the top ten most checked out books at her library, I.S. 68. The Elsewhere Chronicles, Book 1, The Shadow Door is number seven, just slightly out-ranking Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight!

Elsewhere got a great review on Sequential Tart:

Gorgeous and brilliant… The story is absolutely one of the best around… The more I read, the more impressed I am by how vivid an enthralling it all is. It has been wonderfully translated from the original French.

In other blog news, Elsewhere Chronicles was nominated for this blog award, in the Graphic Novel: Middle Grade category.

Another blogger, Sean Ashby, who claims to be some kind of Viking, has this nice thing to say about Elsewhere:

I really enjoyed the art and coloring (and always find it fascinating how many different ways to draw the same thing, namely the human face), and shows the real potential of what kid’s comics can be. I’ve already order the subsequent volumes!
